It’s quite easy to transform my Kitty Mod pattern into something a little bit more special. Just use your imagination!
Treats and fruits are a fun place to start. And that’s what I did in the case of my S’mores and Strawberry Kitty Mods.
You can find the base for my Kitty Mod pattern here on my website.
For the S’mores Kitty, it’s really quick to just add some chocolate and some graham crackers to transform it into something really tasty!
For the Strawberry Kitty, crochet in a pink or red color, add some dots and some leaves, and you have a berry cute kitty!
I’ve written up the crochet pattern for the customizations below. Please enjoy!
S’mores Kitty Mod Crochet Pattern
First make the Kitty Mod Pattern in a white color for the marshmallow.
Chocolate
With Red Heart Super Saver Coffee (dark brown) yarn
Row 1: Ch 10, sl st into 2nd ch from hook and in each sl st across – 9 sl st
Row 2-7: Ch 1, sl st in each st across – 9 sl st
Fasten off leaving a long tail
Graham Crackers (make 2)
With Red Heart Super Saver warm brown yarn
Row 1: Ch 9, sl st into 2nd ch from hook and in each sl st across – 8 sl st
Row 2-7: Ch 1, sl st in each st across – 8 sl st
Fasten off leaving a long tail
Assembly
Sew the Chocolate on top of the white body. Then sandwich the Graham Crackers with one on top of the body and one on the bottom and sew them down as well.
Strawberry Kitty Mod Crochet Pattern
First create the Kitty Mod in a strawberrish color (pink, red).
Leafy Part
With Red Heart Super Saver Spring Green yarn
Ch 6, sl st into 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 2 ch, sl st in next 2 st,
*ch 5, sl st into 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 2 ch, sl st in next ch, sl st to join to previous leaf* (repeat 4x)
Total leaves = 5
Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Sew onto the back of Kitty Mod.
Now all that’s left is to create the little dots on the Strawberry. Here, you can get creative.
What I did is to use cotton thread (size 10) to create little French knots and sew them down. If you don’t like French knots, just do Ch 2, sc into first ch to create the little dots.
You can also use beads or rhinestones to give it an extra sparkle. I just glued down some acrylic rhinestones using Fabri-tac.
What’s nice about doing this is there are no ends to hide! Anyways, there’s really no wrong way to do this!
Happy crocheting! Be sure to share your project with me through my social media. I’d love to see! And don’t forget to subscribe to my blog for all my pattern updates!

May 8, 2023 at 8:41 amFor the s’more kitty, am I supposed to sl st across, or sc? I tried sl st for the chocolate but it came out really thin and skinny. Please reply soon!

May 8, 2023 at 1:38 pmHi, it’s supposed to be sl st across, but if you want the chocolate to be longer or wider, you can always add more rows too if you want. Hope that helps!
