Kirby Amigurumi – Free Crochet Pattern

This is a fun and free pattern for crochet Kirby amigurumi! He’s just a cute fellow because he looks like a pink mini marshmallow! His powers include swallowing objects which then gives him transformative powers.

Kirby Amigurumi

His features include short, round arms and dark pink oblong boots. And I’ve chosen to create his face with felt details.

Using the same Kirby crochet pattern I’ve designed, I’ve made 3 different looking Kirby amigurumis, just by changing the face details and/or arm positions.

The Kirby crocheting part is fun and quick to work up. I’ve found that cutting out the felt pieces for the face actually might have taken me longer than doing the crochet portions!

Usually when I work with felt for the face details, I have a trusty tool I like to use that helps me cut the perfect felt shape each time, but unfortunately for Kirby, I didn’t have any exact templates that would work, so this time, I cut out all the felt details by hand.

But don’t worry, in my video tutorial , I show how I go about cutting the different felt parts for his face so that putting together the felt face doesn’t seem as daunting a task! The free written crochet pattern is also available below.

Anyways, I’d love to see how your crochet Kirby turns out! Be sure to tag me with your projects on Instagram @ami_amour so I get to see!

CUTTING FELT DETAILS FOR FACE
You can watch this portion of my video tutorial here for how I cut out the felt shapes for the face.
For the Eyes
1. Cut 2 long oval shapes from black felt. Length is about 2.5 Rounds long.
2. Cut 2 smaller oval shapes in white felt. Length will be about less than half of the black oval.
3. Cut 2 boomerang shapes in blue for the bottom portion of the eyes. See photo for reference.

For the Mouth
4. Cut a U shape in Pink Felt.
5. Cut another U shape in Black Felt. You will want this U shape to be slightly larger than the U shape in Pink so that when you lay the pink felt on top of the black felt, the black will look like an outline around the pink mouth.

For the Cheeks
6. Cut 2 oval shapes in pink felt
