Oogie Boogie – Crochet Nightmare Before Christmas – Free Pattern

“You’re joking, you’re joking, I can’t believe my eyes!” but yes, I’ve released my free pattern for the crochet Oogie Boogie!

Last year I released a crochet Nightmare Before Christmas pattern of Jack Skellington Ears and received some requests for the Oogie Boogie ears version, so here we are!

Oogie Boogie - Free Crochet Pattern - Nightmare Before Christmas

The first time I created crochet Oogie Boogie, I made him in the burlap colors. He looks quite natural and menacing at the same time.

But he’s also often portrayed in green glowing colors, and I thought, why should only Jack get to glow at night? Let’s also make Oogie Boogie glow! I was able to find some green glow in the dark yarn and try out my Oogie Boogie crochet pattern again for some spooky Halloween fun.

Oogie Boogie Crochet Headband

Another cool feature of this crochet Oogie Boogie is that the ears are interchangeable and detachable. They are not a permanent feature on the headband unless you choose to hot glue them onto the headband.

The crochet Nightmare Before Christmas pieces just slide on and off the headband so you can reuse the headband as you please. You can also choose to create your own fashion by mixing and matching these pieces, maybe even one Oogie Boogie on one ear and then Jack Skellington on the other ear.

Or my personal favorite, Oogie Boogie sandwiched between both Jacks.

Even Zero thinks it’s fun to have some headgear action!

So go ahead and roll the dice and crochet Oogie Boogie! I’d love to see how it turns out. Tag me with your projects on my Instagram @ami_amour.
