Here’s a wee Baby Dinosaur amigurumi pattern for all the dino fans out there. We go back to prehistoric times when dinosaurs ruled the earth during the Mesozoic Era! But here they are first as small and adorable babies before they get all mighty, big, and ferocious!
I didn’t particularly model this Baby Crochet Dinosaur Amigurumi after any specific dinosaur but I would say it’s most similar to a baby T-Rex amigurumi since its features also include short and stubbby arms. And of course a big wide open mouth where all the sharp teeth can grow!
You can also crochet the dinosaurs with or without a belly patch. They look cute either way!
This free Dinosaur crochet pattern is the first in my series of patterns for Open Mouth Amigurumi. I plan to use this expressive technique to create all sorts of cute open mouthed creatures, so be sure to subscribe to my blog so you don’t miss a single one!

June 12, 2020 at 4:54 pmAmi, I’ve just discovered your patterns and I LOVE them! The open mouth of the baby dinosaur caught my eye- he’s my first of your patterns. I made him for a newborn- he was ADORABLE, now all 4 of my grandchildren want one. I’ve been crocheting only about 3 months, your patterns are easy enough for even me! Thank you!
